Cwmbran Physiotherapy Centre was established in December 1999
by Chartered & HCPC Registered Physiotherapist, Allison Jones.
Allison's aim, when she opened the practice, was to provide a quality, private chartered physiotherapy service to the population of Cwmbran and it's surrounding areas. Something that had not existed previously.
Cwmbran Physiotherapy Centre has been helping patients, whether they are eight or eighty eight, deal with their aches, pains and injuries ever since.
We pride ourselves on providing a quality assessment and examination of your problem, commencing appropriate treatment immediately and ensuring that you return to normal life, work or your favourite sport as soon as possible.
Cwmbran Physiotherapy Centre's merger with Health & Sports Physiotherapy will allow us to continue deliver our excellent quality service with a new larger team with even broader skills to help you with your problems, all in a new more modern location.
Meet The Team
Allison Jones (nee Walter)
B.Sc.(Hons); M.C.S.P; H.C.P.C. Registered
Allison qualified with a B.Sc.(Hons) Physiotherapy from the London Hospital School of Physiotherapy in July 1989. She is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (M.C.S.P) and is Health Care Professions Council (H.C.P.C.) Registered.
Allison worked within the NHS after qualifying and specialised in Outpatients, after completing all her basic rotations. She began working privately in 1993 as well as working at The National Police Training College in Cwmbran while being the team physiotherapist for the Welsh Men's Volleyball Squad, before opening Cwmbran Physiotherapy Centre in 1999.
Undertaking extensive postgraduate training has allowed her extend her skills further and she become a Member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine in 1993, a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist in 1997 and a Body Control Pilates Instructor in 2007.
Allison has a special interest in treating Low Back Pain, using her Physiotherapy & Pilates Skills as well as rehabilitation of 'everyday' sports people.
Daniel Jones Msc MCSP AACP
Director / Chartered Physiotherapist
Daniel graduated from the University Of Wales College Of Medicine in 2003, with a BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy. Throughout his career he has developed a broad range of clinical experience, from working with the general public to elite sports athletes.
He has previously worked in New Zealand, Australia and the U.K., with a specialist interest in musculoskeletal and sports medicine and has completed an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at Cardiff University.
Daniel has worked with a number of professional sports teams including Worcester Warriors, Gloucester Rugby and the Welsh Rugby Union as Head Physiotherapist to the Wales National 7s Squad. He is currently Senior Physiotherapist for Guinness Pro 12 team the Cardiff Blues. Dan has recently been selected as part of the Medical Team for Team Wales at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
